The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:
— Dean Lee Clark Gibson, 40, of 134 Catawba Hill Drive, Union, was charged with unlawful use of the telephone and resisting arrest around 8:55 a.m. Jan. 12. According to the incident report, Gibson was told by police to stop contacting a woman, but he continued to text her for two weeks. The woman stated he also followed her in her vehicle and circled her block when she was home. An officer called Gibson and advised him to stop texting the woman, and he said he would stop. About 15 seconds later, the woman received another text from Gibson that read, “Dead.” Deputies went to Gibson’s house, and he refused to come out. Deputies eventually obtained a warrant for Gibson’s arrest.
— Randi Leigh Gregory, 25, of 609 Happy Valley Road, Union, was charged with shoplifting around 8:24 p.m. Jan. 12. According to the incident report, Gregory took a hat from the Kangaroo station, located on Lockhart Highway, Union, by putting it under her shirt and walking out without paying. The hat was valued at $7.
— Darnell Deandre Beacham, 29, of 202 Old Buffalo Road, Union, was charged with third-degree assault and battery around 6:30 p.m. Jan. 10.
Kennedy Jamarr Garrett, 24, of 702 Arthur Blvd., Union, was charged as a prisoner carrying a homemade weapon around 6:30 p.m. Jan. 10.
According to the incident report, Beacham attacked Garrett inside Union County Jail B Block. The report states Garrett had a “shank,” which was a comb filed down to a point with toilet paper wrapped around it for a handle, in his possession.
— Adam Grant Caudill, 20, of 304 S. Boyce S., Union, was charged with unlawful carrying of a handgun around 2:30 p.m. Jan. 12. The loaded Taurus .380 handgun — valued at $200 — was seized.
— Betty Jean Gregory, 50, of 504 Blue Ridge Road, Union, was charged with breach of peace and ill treatment of animals around 5:50 p.m. Jan. 10.
— Michael Antonio Land, 29, of 303 S. Boyce St., Union, was charged with unsafe tires, cracked windshield, simple possession of marijuana, failure to change address on driver’s license, and no seat belt around 2 a.m. Jan. 11.
— William Lee Alman, 19, of 723 Old Pumpstation Road, Union, was charged with breach of peace around 7:30 p.m. Jan. 11. According to the incident report, Alman caused a disturbance in the Dollar General, located on Lockhart Highway, Union, by wearing dark sunglasses and bandannas over his face. The clerk stated he had just left the Kangaroo Express, located next door to Dollar General, the same way. When officers asked Alman if he had anything illegal on him, he turned over a cap gun and two knives.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:
— Union County EMS reported on Jan. 12 that someone stole a 25-foot black cord valued at $100. An EMS employee stated they went out on a call and removed the power supply, laying it around the steps. Employees stated the cord lays on the ground all the time when they are gone, and they don’t know who would have taken it.
— A resident of Old Spartanburg Highway, Jonesville, reported on Jan. 11 that someone drove through his yard and knocked over a statue. Pieces of a Ford headlight were found in the complainant’s yard. The damage was estimated at $200.
— The owner of Millwood’s Garage reported on Jan. 12 that someone stole four tires and 26-inch chrome rims from a 1986 Chevrolet Caprice which had been parked at the garage for a couple weeks. The suspect brought a large floor jack to use to remove the rims and tires, and left the floor jack behind. Missing items are valued at $1,300.
The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrests:
— Cassandra Sherelle Hawkins, 24, of 100 College St., Union, and Joshua Lewis Hughes, 27, of 105 Willow Lane, Union, were each charged with criminal domestic violence around 3:20 a.m. Jan. 11. According to the arrest warrants, Hawkins and Hughes engaged in a physical altercation while at Hughes’ residence.
— Jarvis Sentiel Cunningham, 24, of 176 Sedgefield Drive, Union, was charged with disorderly conduct around 6:15 p.m. Jan. 12.
— Jeffrey Jerome Hall, 42, of 209 5th St., Union, was charged with disorderly conduct around 5:50 p.m. Jan. 12.
— Brandi Julieann Northern, 36, 0f 104 Carem Road, Union, was charged with driving under suspension around 10:55 a.m. Jan. 11.
— Joan Maria Branch, 59, of 46 Forest Trail Court, Columbia, was charged with driving under suspension and giving false information to an officer around 10:43 p.m. Jan. 11.
— Lyle Delmar Pearson, 25, of 103 Westminster Circle, Union, was charged with driving under suspension around 8:55 a.m. Jan. 10.
