Three men charged with equipment theft

CLEMSON — Clemson University police arrested three men in connection with the theft of a piece of equipment from a campus building.

Ronnie Dale Young, 57, of Central; Elmer Eugene Garner, 48, of Clemson; and Tyson Urian Reese, 25, of Clemson were charged with grand larceny, value $10,000 or more. The men are not students or employees of Clemson University.

The charges stem from the theft of a large piece of printing equipment from a loading dock at Godfrey Hall July 11. The machine was sold for scrap.

Young was released on a $10,000 surety bond and Reese and Garner each were released on $10,000 personal recognizance bonds.
