Adult co-ed volleyball leagues


PICKENS — The Pickens Recreation Department is holding registration for adult co-ed volleyball, formally known as the Backyard League. Players must be 21 years old. The registration fee is $45 for in-city residents and $55 for all others and are due at the time of sign up.


Fees are non-refundable and are due by April 4 at the Rec Department on Sangamo Road. Practice dates will be announcedd. Games are played on Sunday afternoons and will begin April 26. Call 864-878-2296 for more information.


Pickens YMCA baseball registration


PICKENS — Baseball registration at the Pickens YMCA will end April 17, with late registration scheduled for April 18 through April 24.


All practices and games are held at the Pickens YMCA, 2223 Gentry Memorial Hwy.


Coed divisions offered are T-ball (ages 4 to 6) and Coaches Pitch (ages 7 to 9). Jersey, cap and trophy are provided as part of the registration fee and kept by the players. Costs are $45 for members and $75 for non-members. An additional $10 late fee is applied during late registration dates.


Sponsorships and volunteer coach opportunities are available. Register at the Easley or Pickens YMCA or online at www.pcymca.net.

Y2Y 10K Challenge is April 26


PICKENS — The Pickens County YMCA holds the Y2Y 10K Challenge on April 26. Participants will run from the Easley YMCA to the Pickens YMCA, which is exactly 10K or 6.2 miles. Participants will park at the Pickens YMCA and be taken to the Easley Y at 7:10 a.m. The race will start at 7:30 a.m.
