EASLEY — With the new year barely underway, Easley’s West End has something to look forward to with the construction at West End Shops nearing completion.
Anchored by Miracle Hill Thrift Store, the shopping center is nearing completion of an addition 8,000 square feet, 5,000 square feet of which is already leased once construction is completed. A+ Rentals, now located at the old Wal-Mart location, has signed to take the bulk of the new space, leaving 3,000 square feet of small shop space, said Bill Sims of NAI Earle Furman, the leasing agent for the property.
With over half of the new space accounted for when construction is completed, Sims feels the shopping center is a prime location for small business owners to consider.
“With Miracle Hill Thrift Store and Dollar General there’s already a great stream of traffic,” Sims said. “We think a small accounting or tax office, really anyone, would benefit from the location and the traffic generated not only in the shopping center but by the location itself as well.”
Sims is expecting construction and interior build out to be complete within the next 60 days and the remaining 3,000 square feet of shopping space to become available immediately.
“As far as completion and the new addition being either fully leased or ready for lease I would be surprised if it was any longer than that,” Sims said. “Right now we are projecting all of the new addition to be fully complete and hopefully leased by the beginning of March.”
