EASLEY — The ribbon cutting might have come a year late, but for With Love and Confection, that is a just a small detail in a year’s worth of growth.
“I just want to thank the Lord for making it possible for us to make it through so many trials over the last year,” said Veronica Arthur, owner of the business owner. “I want to thank my family for always be there and helping. I need to thank all of my friends who have been praying for us all this time too.”
Although Arthur has been designing and creating extraordinary cakes since her teens, it wasn’t until she opened a store front she began to learn the lessons of a business owner.
“The biggest thing I learned in the first year is about how I need to train my children to be good employees,” Arthur said with a smile. “Working with family makes it easier, you’re able to let things roll off your back, but teaching them responsibility was the big lesson.”
With Love and Confection specializes in all forms of baked goods, including designer cakes for which Arthur has been featured internationally.
“Most of all, I want to thank everyone who came out today and has been here for us since we opened,” Arthur said. “Without everyone’s help and our customers we wouldn’t be doing this today.”
