Man suspected of robbing convenience store caught

ANDERSON – The man suspected of robbing a convenience store on S.C. 187 in the early morning hours of Jan. 9 was arrested Tuesday morning on an unrelated charge.

Ronald Steve House Sr. was being held at the Anderson County Detention Center on Tuesday afternoon awaiting a bond hearing on charges of armed robbery and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office released multiple images of a man who came into Hickory Point at 5503 S.C. 187 North around 2 a.m. Jan. 9 wearing a camouflage jumpsuit and skull mask. He was armed with a handgun.

Sheriff’s office officials said overwhelming response from the community helped them identify the person in the video.
