EASLEY – Easley Police are still looking for a man who allegedly robbed TD Bank in Easley on Friday morning.


Major Tim Tollison with the Easley Police Department said a black male suspect went into the bank at around 9:25 a.m. with a revolver-style handgun and demanded money. As of Monday morning, a suspect had not been apprehended.


“He left with an undisclosed amount of money,” Tollison said. “The Easley Police Department is working in conjunction with the FBI.”


Police say the suspect is approximately 6 feet tall with a slim build, weighing between 150 to 160 pounds. Tollison said the suspect was was wearing all black with an outfit that consisted of a black hoodie-style sweat shirt, black pants and black Nike Air Max shoes with an aqua colored Nike swoosh.


Tollison said the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.


Tollison said the suspect’s face was partially covered with a black material. He was last seen crossing Dayton School Road in Easley.


Forest Acres Elementary was put on lockdown as a result of the robbery. School officials said no student at the school was in danger.


“Our most important role as educators is to keep everyone safe,” Forest Acres Principal Darian Byrd said. “All children are safe and remained very calm and cooperative.”
