CENTRAL — Eighth grade Girl Scouts from R.C. Edwards Middle School started a recycling project at school. Recently, the girls delivered new recycling bins to classrooms.


“We saw that no one was recycling, and we wanted to make a difference,” explained eighth-grader Alyssa Howard. The girls will collect recycling bins from classrooms to earn hours towards a Silver Award.


The Edwards students from Troop 1010 are Alyssa Howard, Erica Chapman, Lexie Simpson, and Hallie Conrad. This project will help the school protect the environment.
