SENECA — For years, Oconee Medical Center employees have envisioned a campus walking trail for patients, employees and visitors to further promote health and wellness. This vision is now becoming a reality, thanks to the contributions of hospital employees.
Oconee Medical Center Foundation hosted its annual Employee Giving Campaign this past November.
“Each year, just as we ask the public to contribute to our healthcare services, we also ask employees to give back. This year’s employee campaign, which kicked off with a talent show, raised more than $65,000 for our healthcare services. One of the many funds employees could designate donations to was the building of a walking trail,” said Cortni Nations, executive director of OMC Foundation. “Thanks to the generosity of employees and several community members, this project is now coming to life.”
The paved trail is a quarter mile long and is located on the front lawn of the hospital. It will be open in the near future for all to utilize.
