PICKENS — Hagood Mill Historic Site will pay tribute to the life of Ed Bolt from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 21 as part of Music in the Mountains 2014.
Bolt was the Hagood Mill Site manager for 16 years and much of what visitors see today at the site can be attributed directly to his vision and efforts.
This Third Saturday event will include a memorial concert, featuring many of Bolt’s closest friends who will celebrate his well-lived life.
Hagood Mill hosts a variety of folklife and traditional art demonstrations on each Third Saturday throughout the year including moonshining, blacksmithing, bowl-digging, flintknapping, chair-caning, pottery, basket-making, spinning, weaving, woodcarving, bee keeping, metal-smithing and much more.
The Hagood Mill is located at 138 Hagood Mill Road, three miles north of the town of Pickens, just off U.S. 178.
