LAVONIA, Ga. – Jayme Rampey of Liberty weighed a five-bass limit totaling 15 pounds, 12 ounces to take home fourth place in the Walmart Bass Fishing League Savannah River Division tournament held May 3 on Lake Hartwell. Rampey earned $963 for his efforts.
Jason Burroughs of Hodges, S.C., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 19 pounds, 4 ounces to win the tournament. For his victory, Burroughs earned $6,427.
Other area pro anglers included Adam Rice of Anderson who earned $2,064 for his second place finish with a five-bass limit of 16 pounds, 4 ounces, and Michael Anders of Pelzer who came in eighth with five bass weighing 14 pounds, 15 ounces. Anders earned $619 for his haul.
Kevin Landreth of Seneca, S.C., weighed in a five-bass limit totaling 11 pounds, 4 ounces to win $2,064 in the co-angler division. Dennis Medlin of Anderson hauled in five bass weighing 9 pounds to win 10th place and $241.
The BFL is a 24-division circuit devoted to weekend anglers, with 120 tournaments throughout the season, five in each division.
