CLEMSON — Clemson City Council met Aug. 18 with a full agenda of business ranging from a full slate of reports to the consideration of a second reading on a zoning ordinance.


Staff and council presented reports to those in attendance concerning damage from the most recent major rain Aug. 10, the status on the park expansion of Tottie’s Place greenway, a status report on the implementation of a master plan concerning the Milliken property on U.S. 176, and an update on the bid and loan status of sewer construction.


City Administrator Rick Cotton presented a report on the General Obligation bond sale completed Aug. 13 and Mayor J. C. Cook III updated council on the College Avenue bridge replacement and intersection widening projects.


A second reading of an ordinance to adopt a rewrite of the Zoning Ordinance and the zoning map was put forth by Planning and Codes Administrator Sharon Richardson.
