The Easley Chamber of Commerce is offering a Friday Focus Workshop “Freeware 101-free, safe and actually useful” Nick Bennett of CossBan Software & Networking will be presenting a freeware class reviewing different free software packages ranging from accounting & antivirus software to computer maintenance & network utilities to YouTube downloader to Zip file archiving software and even freeware that completely replaces Microsoft Office. Over twenty different freeware programs will be discussed including what to watch out for and where to find them. Handouts will include all software reviewed along with a monthly health check list for computer owners to conduct on their PCs. Friday Nov. 9 12:00pm-1:00pm at the Captain Kimberly Hampton Memorial Library, 304 Biltmore Road, Easley. Light lunch will be provided. FREE
