Attention ... Gingerbread house decorators in Pickens County

Last year this city scene took first place in the PHBE gingerbread house competition.
As part of our Festival, the Palmetto Health Baptist Easley Foundation will be conducting the 11th Annual Gingerbread House Decorating Contest during the Festival’s opening two weeks, Nov. 30 - Dec. 11 at our hospital. Seventy-five Gingerbread House Decorating kits have been purchased by the Foundation. Community organizations, youth groups, school classes, nursing homes and families may pick up a FREE kit from the Foundation Office at the hospital, decorate their kit and then bring it to our hospital by Noon on Nov. 30th for display and judging. Following the judging, the decorated houses will be up for sale with the proceeds going to support the Foundation’s Room Renovation Campaign. Wal-Mart of Easley has donated the following prizes: Grand Prize ($300 gift card), 2nd place ($200 gift card), 3rd place ($100 gift card), 4th place ($50 gift card), Honorable mention ($25 gift card) and four children’s (ages 1-10) gift card prizes of $25 each.
The Gingerbread Kits will be distributed free to the first 75 organizations that register to participate in the Gingerbread House Decorating Contest. Gingerbread entries are encouraged to arrive at Palmetto Baptist-Easley on Nov. 30, from 9 a.m. -Noon. The sky’s the limit as to what your design can look like...Clemson football stadium, Easley Fire Station, your school or business, or even a replica of our hospital! Your decorated gingerbread creation will be on display from Nov. 30-Dec. 11. All gingerbread creations will be sold with the proceeds going to support the Foundation’s Campaign to Renovate Patient Rooms at Baptist Easley.
Decorating a gingerbread creation will be a way for your organization to have fun during the holidays, while supporting our hospital and quality healthcare for the citizens of Pickens and Anderson Counties.
