CENTRAL ─ County police say a Central woman was held at gunpoint and hands duct tapped behind her back while two men searched and robbed her home.
The incident occurred just after midnight when the 30-year-old victim returned to her home on Simms School Road, according to the police report.
The woman said that when she opened the door to her car to get out, two men dressed in black and wearing ski masks grabbed her and pulled her out of the car, the report stated.
One man pointed a gun at her head and “told her to give up the money,” according to the report.
The men then ordered her to go into the house, and when the victim resisted, she said one of the men carried her inside and threw her on the couch, the report stated.
At that point, one of the men held her at gunpoint while the other man ransacked the house as they looked for money and other valuables, the report stated.
The victim reported to police that the men got angry when she told them there wasn’t any money, and that they taped her hands behind her back and left her on the couch as they continued to search the house and load items into a large bag, according to the report.
The woman said she was able to free her hands from the tape and ran to a neighbor’s house to call 911.
At the time of the incident, the victim was unsure what had been taken from the home.
Anyone with information about the incident can call the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office at (864) 989-5500.
