EASLEY — First Baptist of Easley will be hosting its annual “Trunk or Treat” event on Sunday Oct. 28, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Children through grade five are encouraged to attend.
“We want children to be on our campus because we love children. It is about sharing our love of God and the sense of community,” said Reverend Judy Frost.
Church officials consider the event to be a safe alternative to the customary practices of Halloween.
“It is safe, family friendly, and a fun time for everyone,” said Frost.
The event will take place in the back parking lot of the church where members of the church will open the trunks of their cars to serve candy to the children.
“It is a real joy to see our faith family interact with children of all ages in such a caring and loving way. Every child that leaves this event will feel special and unique. There are always smiles all around,” said Frost.
All of the candy will be provided and served by members of Easley First Baptist.
