The Easley Fire Department responded to the cooking fire at 5634 Calhoun Memorial Hwy in Easley at 6:57 p.m. on Friday, June 25.
The fire was extinguished with the restaurant’s fire extinguisher.
Captain John D. Willis of the Easley Fire Department said the business owner, the City of Easley Building Official and DHEC were all notified of the incident. Other maintenance personnel and Anderson Fire and Safety personnel also responded to the scene to help with repairs, he said.
According to the Easley Fire Department, the building was evacuated when they arrived on the scene and no injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
Two pumper trucks and a platform truck responded to the incident.
