“No Easy Day” @ the Village Branch, Pickens
Join the Pickens Book Club on Jan. 15 at 10 a.m. at the Village Branch Library in Pickens as we discuss “No Easy Day: The Firsthand Account of the Mission That Killed Osama Bin Laden” by Mark Owen with Kevin Maurer.
In “No Easy Day,” Navy SEAL Mark Owen describes the selection and training process for one the most elite units in the military. He describes numerous previously unreported missions that exemplify the life and work of a SEAL and the evolution of the team after 9/11. The book culminates in a detailed account of the mission which led to the killing of Osama Bin Laden.
“[Mark Owen] has given us a brave retelling of one of the most important events in U.S. military history.”
