PICKENS — Cannon Memorial Hospital recently made upgrades to its MRI, creating one of the highest quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging systems in the area. The GE 1.5 MRI is now capable of conducting additional imaging, especially in the areas of neurology and cardiac. The upgrades will also allow for faster test time and higher quality images for radiologist and physicians to read. “We continually audit our medical equipment for ways to enhance the patient experience and provide our community with the best possible technology and healthcare available. I’m confident these recent upgrades to our MRI, puts our hospital as a leader in Pickens County in radiology imaging.” said Norman Rentz.
The upgrades to Cannon’s MRI are the latest in a series of improvements and additions to its Radiology Services, which is now fully digital. Cannon’s Radiology suite includes digital mammography, CT, MRI, ultrasound, bone densitometry and x-ray. All images are read by radiologist of Greenville Radiology.
