PICKENS COUNTY—Authorities are still searching for 18-year old Lester Devaria Mosley, Jr., whom they believe was involved in a shooting that left one person dead last week.

Pickens County Sheriff’s office officials say they are continuing to work on the case.

“We’re still actively working,” Assistant Pickens County Sheriff Tim Morgan said. “We’re asking anybody that has any information to call the sheriff’s office or call crime stoppers. They may be eligible for a cash reward.”

Morgan said police have received some valuable tips that are moving the investigation along.

“We have gotten some information that we are following up on and are actively working now,” Morgan said.

The sheriff’s office arrested Jordan Charles Dalton, 19, Jaron Bradley Dalton, 24, and Bernard Kadeen Ramsey, 19, in connection with the home invasion, robbery and death that occurred at 201 Smoke Rise Drive in the Chimney Ridge complex in Central on Saturday evening.

Clemson Student Steven Gregory Grich, 23, died of a gunshot wound in the incident.

Morgan said authorities have been attempting to gain information from the three arrested about Mosley.

“They have been cooperative in the investigation,” Morgan said.

Jordan Dalton is a graduate of Daniel High, and played football at Daniel in 2011. Ramsey is a Daniel student this year, and played basketball for Daniel last year. Jaron Dalton is a graduate of Liberty High, and Mosely attended Daniel but did not graduate.

Authorities say the intent of the group was to rob the deceased victim’s roommate of what they believed to be a large amount of marijuana.

“One of the occupants that lives in the same apartment where the home invasion (took place) was dealing drugs,” Lt. J.B. Kelley said. “Their (the suspects) plan was to come in and rob them.”

Only a few grams were actually taken.

Kelly said they hope to have Mosley off the streets soon.

“We’re getting tips and we’re trying to follow up on them,” Kelley said. “We’ve got all our resources and we’re reaching out to other agencies within the county. It’s a combined effort to try to locate him as quickly as possible and get him off the street.”
