PICKENS-The Pickens Revitalization Association (PRA) has moved its offices from Main Street to its new location off of Court Street in Pickens.
“The move into the new offices has allowed us to establish the visitor’s center,” said Executive Director of the PRA, Kristen Henry.
The location on Court Street will feature free Wi-Fi, conference room, print services, and a business resource library.
“The new offices will help root the PRA into the Pickens historic downtown area, and by doing so, make the community aware that we are committed to investing in this city,” said Henry.
The PRA has been in place since 2011, and according to Pickens city officials, serves as a valuable asset to the city.
“We are excited for the progress the PRA has made and are happy to partner with them to serve as the City’s visitor center. The partnership between the business community through the PRA and the City finally has a permanent home and we are grateful for all the members of the community who have stepped up to help,” said Pickens City Administrator, Katherine Brackett.
The new PRA location will also serve as a guide to potential guests of the community.
“Our office will provide information on local attractions, and tourism for visitors of Pickens,” said Henry.
