Ribbon cutting ceremony commemorates water plant upgrade

City officials, water plant operators, and water maintenance workers attended the ribbon cutting ceremony. “We are dedicating the water plant and thanking all of the community leaders, professional staff, financial advisors, and employees that worked so hard on this project for many years to get to this point,” said City Administrator Katherine Brackett. “Having a reliable and modern water treatment facility is crucial for the growth of Pickens. This was a successful project that even came in under budget which allowed a few extra improvements to be made.“
