Music on the Market series set for downtown Easley

Bring a chair and dancing shoes in preparation for the 2013 series of live music every Friday night at Old Market Square in Easley.

The free concert series is sponored by The Gilstrap Family Dealerships, hosted by the City of Easley and managed by Dunburks Events. Also included is a play area for children. Food vendors will be selling edibles.

All concerts begin at 7 p.m.

First up is Big Time Band! from Greenville offering Beach, Soul, Funk and Classic Rock tunes. The familiar faces in this group open the season May 3.

The lineup includes:

PICKENS COUNTY – A toddler is dead after drowning at a home in Easley.

According to a press release issued by Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley, 15-month-old Tylan Gosnell of Greenville was found floating face down in a swimming pool Wednesday afternoon at a home on Cannon Lane in Easley.

Gosnell was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital and pronounced dead just after 3 p.m. on Thursday.

Kelley said that an autopsy was scheduled for Friday.
