POWDRSVILLE – The Medical Center in Powdersville offers a variety of services under one roof including Proaxis Therapy.

“It is one of those great innovations to have a center where a patient can come in and be seen for a variety of different things. They will not have to make multiple trips or have to make multiple schedules at other places throughout the community,” said Clinic Director Marty Clary. “It is a nice local area and close to the community where they can come in and have many things taken care of without having to travel.”

According to officials at Proaxis Therapy, patients will benefit from the state-of-the-art procedures.

“We are cutting edge. We do manual therapy and we do aquatic therapy that we have access to. We can treat every kind of patient imaginable. We can treat those patients who have difficulty doing exercise on land where gravity is too much punishment on them, and we can get them in the pool. We can treat the highest level athlete that is trying to get back to a professional sport, high school sport, or a collegiate sport,” said Clary. “We have the expertise and the knowledge to handle a huge variety of patients.”

Proaxis Therapy offers a wide range of treatment options.

“We do almost all types of rehab. Our specialty is orthopaedics and outpatient rehab. We have the ability throughout the Proaxis system to do anything from geriatric therapy to aquatic therapy,” Clary said. “We are a company that is going to do everything we can to treat the patients.”

Services offered by Proaxis Therapy are evaluation and treatment, aquatic therapy, orthopaedic rehabilitation, post-surgical protocols, strengthening, stretching, sports-specific training, and a total joint health program.

“We love to be part of the community and we are going to be looking for those opportunities of how we can engage our community to be a bright spot in the place that we do work,” Clary said. “The goal of Proaxis is to treat the patient but also to get involved with the community.”

Proaxis therapy is located at the new Powdersville Medical Center and will be open Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
