EASLEY — Artist Gregbo Watson landed the job of a lifetime when he was contracted by Marvel Comics to pen the Upper Deck trading cards featuring characters from Marvel’s film “Guardians of the Galaxy.”Watson has been a comic book fan his entire life.“When I heard that I had been selected to design eight of the trading cards in the Guardians series, I about lost lost my mind,” he said. “These cards were to be released in conjunction with the film, and it was just such an honor to draw these iconic characters.”When asked which was his favorite, Watson didn’t hesitate.

Chelsia Sumrell was crowned the 2014 Homecoming Queen for Easley High School during a halftime presentation at Friday’s game against Woodmont. Sumrell, a senior, was chosen as Homecoming Queen following a vote by the senior class.
