Easley firefighters respond to blaze

EASLEY — On Nov. 18, at 1:28 p.m. the Easley Fire Department responded to a structure fire located at 1270 Anderson Highway. This residence is located inside the Easley Fire District. First arriving units reported heavy smoke showing from the residence.

The fire was extinguished and salvage and overhaul operations were conducted. The fire was brought under control in approximately 20 minutes. Fire crews remained on the scene for another hour conducting salvage and overhaul operations. There were no injuries reported due to the fire. The scene was then turned over to the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office.

Other agencies that responded were the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, Pickens County EMS, Blue Ridge CO-OP, and The American Red Cross.
