Unique fundraiser offers frightful entertainment

Staff Writer

CLEMSON - On Saturday Oct. 27, Pickens County residents

will have a chance to get dressed up, solve a murder and help a

good cause all at the same time.

The Mystery Theatre Night is a fundraiser to benefit three

Clemson agencies: The Art Center, Clemson Child Development

Center and Clemson Community Care.

"During the benefit, Show Offs, a theater troupe, will present

The Death of Dr. Pepper," said Linda Session, administrative

assistant for Clemson Child Development Center.

The production is no ordinary play.

"The actors will mingle with the audience," Session said. "The

audience will play a part in solving the crime."

Guests will enjoy heavy hors d'oeuvres, drinks and desserts

during the benefit, Session said.

"The troupe encourages you to wear costumes," she said.

"There will be contests for the funniest, most unique and most

outrageous costumes."

serving children from 6-weeks to 5-years of age, Session said.
