PICKENS - An Easley man died after a tractor accident in Pickens Thursday afternoon.

Perry Leslie, 45, of 218 Ridgefield Road, was pronounced dead at the scene after the accident, said Chief Deputy Coroner Kandy Kelley.

The accident occurred on Rolling Green Road near the watershed dam when Leslie was "hogging brush," according to a Pickens County Sheriff's Office incident report.

Leslie's tractor became unstable on an embankment, moved backwards over the top of the damn and then flipped over, landing on Leslie.

Leslie's brother and a friend pulled him from the tractor but he then stopped breathing, the report said.

The cause of Leslie's death was blunt force trauma, Kelley said.

The accident is under investigation by the sheriff's office.
