SHREVEPORT, La., - Pickens County deputies were able to capture a suspect wanted for nearly three years, thanks to an alert resident in Caddo Parish, La.
Joshua Luke Phillips, 25, formerly of Stewart Drive, Easley, was wanted by Pickens County authorities in connection with 20 forgery charges.
Phillips was arrested in Caddo Parish by deputies there after an anonymous resident became suspicious and searched his name online, according to a Pickens County Sheriff's Office release.
The search resulted in a link to the PCSO's Web site and the Most Wanted page where Phillips' description and photo were found, the release said.
Phillips was listed as the 73rd most-wanted person in the county, the release said.
The resident then called the PCSO to confirm the information and alerted police, the release said.
Authorities arrested Phillips the following day on April 14. An extradition hearing is slated for Tuesday, April 28, the release said.
Phillips capture in Louisiana came just five days prior to the third anniversary of being among the Most Wanted, the release said.
