ANDERSON COUNTY - Details surrounding the homicides of Nathaniel Dickson's family will help 10th Circuit Solicitor Chrissy Adams determine whether she will seek the death penalty at his trial.
"In this case, he qualifies for the death penalty," Adams said, but added she hasn't made that decision yet.
A trial schedule has yet to be established, Adams said.
Adams said she still has to review "all of the evidence" and speak with family members before making the final decision.
Dickson's trial will probably be extended if he is tried for the death penalty, due to the extra "legal matters" attorneys will have to take care of, Adams said.
A judge already denied Dickson bond, but there could be another bond hearing in May, Adams said.
Adams said Monday that she doubts whether Nathaniel Dickson already has a private attorney, so he'll probably be represented by the public defender.
The case will eventually go before a grand jury, which will decide if there's probable cause, she said.
He will be tried in general sessions court after being indicted, Adams said.
