CLEMSON - Everyone in the Upstate was hearing about tornado warnings all day on Tuesday.
Clemson, among numerous other counties who were in danger of riding out a tornado, was hardest hit at about 3:50 p.m.
Eye witnesses say that the funnel cloud was visible and the tornado was seen crossing between Littlejohn Coliseum and Memorial Stadium.
Hundreds of trees collapsed in the path of the tornado, while many cars were trapped underneath branches and heavy limbs.
Police are working to conduct traffic near down power lines while Duke Energy has crews out working to restore power to the downtown area.
