EASLEY—Easley residents will not have to travel far to find good music this summer.

Each Friday night starting at 7pm to 10pm, now through June 22, Old Market Square in Downtown Easley will host Music on the Market.

Music on the Market is part of the Summer Music Series and serves as a great asset to the revitalization district of downtown Easley.

Kent Dykes of the Easley Chamber of Commerce says it is a family oriented production and he is pleased and excited by Music on the Market as it brings new people into the community to experience the quality of life.

Music on the Market began on Friday, May 4, and when asked how the live entertainment had performed thus far, Scott Buckhiester, the Vice President of Operations at Dunburks Premier Events said, “With a capacity crowd each night, the bands have been over and above what we expected.”

Buckhiester also echoed the thoughts of the Easley Chamber of Commerce by saying he applauds the revitalization of downtown Easley, and how live events like Music on the Market can attract local residents and newcomers into town to experience the downtown area of Easley first hand.
