WILLIAMSTON — William Joseph "Joe" Garrick, 72, of Regis Drive, went to be with the Lord Thursday March 5, 2009.

Mr. Garrick was born in Pickens County, a son of the late Charlie H. and Connice Harris Garrick. He was a former employee of Dan River - Woodside Mill in Greenville and was a Shriner. He was a member of Wren Baptist Church where he was active in The Brotherhood, the Adult Sunday School Class and was a former Deacon and Sunday School Superintendant.

Surviving are his wife, Doris Miller Garrick, of the home; two daughters, Kathy Hutchison (Darrell) and Kelly Wilson, (Darrin; a son, Jody Garrick; sisters, Linda Henderson and Nancy Hennessee; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and special sister-in-law and brother-law, Daisy and Leonard Smith

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Carol Gilstrap and June Garrick.

Funeral Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Wren Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Sanders officiating. Entombment will follow at Greenville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

The family is at the residence. They will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the church, prior to the service.
