Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Herbert "Hub" and Elzora Black Lesley, she was a homemaker, a member of the Tri County Senior Bowling League and Rock Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Hobart Satterfield of Easley, Larry Satterfield of Moore, and Nathaniel Satterfield of Anderson; three daughters, Joyce Cochran of Piedmont, Gwendolyn Elrod of Easley, and Francine Wilder of Mt. Pleasant; one brother, Weldon "Pete" Lesley of Easley; one sister, Elizabeth Campbell of Easley; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Satterfield was predeceased by a son, Bradley Chadwick Satterfield; three brothers, Martin, Bascom and William "Bill" Lesley; one sister, Pauline Freeman; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at Rock Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr David Gallamore officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m, Monday at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
