Miss Caroline Alston Beckman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bernard Beckman of Clemson, SC, and Gardner William Beson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Newell Beson of Pittsburgh, PA, were married on Sunday, October 14, 2012 in a small family ceremony. The couple exchanged vows, that they wrote themselves, in Lakemont Colony Chapel, Cleveland, SC, with Mr. Doyle Wesley Kay of Easley officiating. Mrs. Jordan Beckman Fischer of Savannah, GA, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Miss Mary Grace Beson of PA, sister of the groom, was a bridesmaid. Mr. Stephen Parks Beson of PA, brother of the groom, served as best man. Miss Lucy Henley of Carrboro, NC, cousin of the bride, carried the bride’s train.

The bride wore her mother’s gown of silk satin with bodice of Alencon lace and pearls, with a chapel length train and heirloom veil.

The reception was held at the rustic Lakemont Colony clubhouse, with a unique Southern luncheon and music.

The bride is a recent honor graduate of the University of South Carolina in Music, and is a student at Charleston Southern University studying Music Therapy. The groom is also an honor graduate of the University of South Carolina in Music Composition and is employed with Blackbaud on Daniel Island, SC. The bride and groom met at the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities in Greenville, where they were both resident students.

Following a trip to Puerto Rico, the couple will reside in Summerville, SC.
