Mr. Dacus was born in Easley, a son of the late Henry Ervin Dacus, Sr. and Margaret Rogers Dacus. He retired from J.P. Stevens & Company - Dunean Plant and was a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II. He was a member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church and the Mountain Springs Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Reid Orr Dacus, of the home; a son, Mike Dacus and his wife, Ansley, of Powdersville; a daughter, Mary Ann Hunt and her husband, Paul, of Easley; a brother, James Dacus, of Easley; sisters, Margaret Elizabeth Chick, of Villa Rica, Ga., and Dorothy Ann Dacus, of Easley; seven grandchildren ; seven great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild.
Funeral Services and entombment will be 1 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum at Robinson Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Dr. Keith Shorter and Reverend Larry Strickland officiating.
