The accident claimed the life of their grandmother, 59-year-old Pattianne Murphy Nazworth, who was driving a mini-van that collided with the fully loaded truck, according to Anderson County Deputy Coroner Don McCown.
Grayson Nazworth, 2, Marshall Nazworth, 3, and Conner Grayson, 5, were treated at Greenville Memorial following the accident that happened around 1:30 p.m. on Three Bridges Road.
Nazworth, of 120 Sunset Court, Easley, had been babysitting the boys, and they were on their way home when the accident happened, according to her husband Eddy R. Nazworth.
He said he expects the children to recover well from their injuries.
Nazworth’s minivan crossed the center line and collided with the dump truck, according to officials with the S.C. Highway Patrol.
George Elrod, 62, of Easley was driving the truck, owned by Anders Inc. of Greenville.
He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Both adults in the accident were wearing seat belts, and the children were in safety seats, according to Lance Cpl. Kathy Hiles.
The family laid Nazworth to rest Monday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
