Miss South Carolina Anna Perry, and Miss EasleyBrendle Gosnell were at the tournament to greet the 18 teams of players. It was also a business expo with sponsors located on many of the holes to meet players and give them items as they went around the course.
Irv Harrington of Sardi’s Den in Clemson said, “This is the best organized golf tournament I have ever played in. It was also a great networking opportunity for the players and sponsors.”
Adam Relan, Golf Pro at Smithfields said, “This is the best organized external event we have at Smithfields”
Following were the results of the team competition: first place, Kudzu Staffing – Matt Giffon, Kip Merck, Sean Thornton and Will Jones; second place, Sulzer Pumps – Jon Humphrey, Tony Fandetti, Don Howard and Ed Miller; third place, Palmetto Bank – Hamp Johnson, Tripp Martin, Eric Hudgens and Robert Mackey.
Trey MacDonald won the closest to the pin award. Tony Jones had the longest drive.
