At 5:05 p.m., Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative had 34 members still without power.

These outages were scattered across an area within a two- to three-mile radius of the city of Pickens.

Repair crews were at work at each of these outage locations, and service was expected to be restored to all members before sundown this evening.

Earlier in the day, Blue Ridge reported 512 customers were still without power, with more than 500 located in Pickens County.

Blue Ridge officals are hopeful that thunderstorms forecast for the area this weekend will be mild and not create any further damage.
