PICKENS – Mrs. Peggy Rogers Gwinn, 87, widow of Marion Gwinn, died Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Laurel Hill Living Center in Pickens.

Mrs. Gwinn was born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Earl Rogers and Minnie Gantt Rogers. She was retired from Ryobi in Pickens. Mrs. Gwinn was a charter member of Landmark Baptist Church and was active with the Landmark Golden Agers. She graciously gave of her time as a volunteer at Cannon Memorial Hospital, having served 26 years.

Survivors include four sons, Billy Gwinn (Betty), Bobby Gwinn, Cooter Gwinn (Gail) all of Easley, Rev. Roger Gwinn (Ann), one daughter, Peggy Ann Durham (Gary) all of Pickens, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Mrs. Gwinn was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Services were conducted 2 p.m., Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Landmark Baptist Church. Burial was at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.

Dillard Funeral Home was in charge of services.
