CLEMSON — A Clemson business is “a total loss” after a Wednesday afternoon fire, Clemson University Fire Department officials said.
The department responded to a call of a fire at Tiger Spirits at 1:28 p.m. Wednesday, Clemson University Fire Chief William Daniel said.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire after four hours, he said.
Fire marshals were on scene Thursday investigating the cause of the blaze.
No cause had been identified as of press time.
No one was injured in the fire.
The building is a total loss, Daniel said.
“It’s partially collapsed,” he said. “It’s a 1940s era construction.”
The Clemson University Fire Department sent 19 firefighters to the scene, and also received assistance from the Central Fire Department and firefighters in Oconee County, Daniel said.
