LIBERTY – Liberty Fire Department has been looking for a new fire truck recently, but with the busyness of the summer months, opportunities have slipped away from them.
Liberty Councilman Rick Clark brought to order a resolution for the purchase of a new fire truck on Monday.
“We have missed a couple of great deals and great trucks due council not meeting or people being on vacation during the summer months, so I suggest we try to find a truck and make a deposit without waiting on the next council meeting,” said Clark. “If they find a truck, they should check with us, and then make a deposit right away.”
