EASLEY — In the big picture, the games are meaningless. But to a team that was winless in 2008, going 2-0 in a Jamboree on its home field means a lot.

Easley was the only team out of the seven participating that finished the night 2-0. The Green Wave was also the only team that did not play in two back-to-back periods.

Easley opened the night by defeating Liberty 14-13. In the second period of play, Liberty fell 14-7 to Berea.

Next, Berea lost to Carolina 8-0. Carolina, in turn, fell to Pickens 7-0.

Pickens lost to Hanna 14-0. Then Woodmont defeated Hanna 6-0.

Easley ended the night by defeating Woodmont 7-2.
