EASLEY — County authorities arrested a Greenville woman Friday in connection with an armed robbery at an Easley convenience store earlier this month.

Someone robbed the Hot Spot on U.S. 123 on the morning of Aug. 16, according to the Sheriff’s Office incident report.

A woman entered the store, asked where Highway 124 was located, placed her purse on the counter and told the clerk to “give her the money,” the report states.

Police said no weapon was presented during the robbery, but according to the arrest warrant, the clerk saw a handgun in the woman’s purse as she was leaving the store.

“She immediately placed her hand inside and kept it there the entire time,” the warrant states.

The woman left the store in a 2002 Chevrolet truck that had been reported stolen in Greenville County, police said.

According to the arrest warrant, Sheryl Galbreath Bedoya, 41, of 37 Third St., Greenville, was charged with armed robbery.

Bedoya’s bond was set at $75,000 and she was returned to the Greenville County Detention Center, where she is being detained on similar charges, police said.
