Editor, The Progress:

I am opposed to any so called health care bill done by the Democrats. My doctor quit because of government regulatory involvement in his practice. I had to get a new doctor. This bill would make it worse.

The proposed bills will increase demand for health care and also attempt to drive down the price paid for services. This will drive doctors out of practice. The Democrat plan will result in rationing of care.

In my case if I am denied a very specific drug if my MRSA infection (caught in the hospital) comes back I will die a two week long and painful death.

None of the bills contain any tort reform.

None of the bills contain any program to increase the supply of doctors. During my work on my masters my company would reimburse us for our tuition if we made a B or better. I did get my masters in mechanical engineer in 1971 with a 3.66 average out of 4. If the government would pay the tuition and living expense for training medical students (citizens and legal immigrants), more people would become doctors. The government could require all grades be B or better and require them to sign a contract to serve as a doctor for at least 10 years in the USA.

Health care will resemble Amtrak and the Post Office that has always lost money and will be run by the same type of people who run the IRS. Heath care will be destroyed.
