EASLEY – The Easley Downtown Business Association in partnership with the City of Easley and Easley Combined Utilities present the fourth annual downtown Easley antiques fall festival “Autumn in Easley” on Saturday, Oct 3 from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Easley Mitsubishi is sponsoring the venues at the event. They will have a showcase of the 2010 line-up of cars.
The event will feature the annual antiques and art festival showcasing antique businesses, consignors, collectors, clubs and art galleries.
There will be an Art Crawl Walk About for art galleries to show off there work. Pickens County schools will also have an art show of student work at the Doodle Station.
There will be workshops and demonstrations at the amphitheater from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. including creative writing, a demonstration of charcoal technique, a Foothills Playhouse improv show and stage performances by the Raja Academy of Martial Arts, the Easley Dance Conservatory, Spotlight Dance Company and Foothills Gymnastics and Dance.
There will be an information booth for schedules of the events. There will be raffles all day.
A “Rolling Art” showcase will also be apart of the event including cars anywhere from a 1924 Hupmobile to a 1971 Porsche.
For the first time, “Autumn in Easley” will include a Tasters Choice venue. Local restaurants and caterers will serve samples of their food for a small charge.
Poor Richards will host authors John Boyanoski and Robbie Boman for a book signing during the event. Boyanoski will be signing his Ghosts of Upstate South Carolina and More Ghosts of Upstate South Carolina from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Boman will be signing her book, Miracles of South Carolina, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.
The eventful day will also host the first annual “Battle of the Bands” showcasing many local unsigned bands on the outdoor main stage at Market Square from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.
The Easley Downtown Business Association and the City of Easley hopes that everyone will come out and enjoy a fun-filled day of “Autumn in Easley.”
