PICKENS COUNTY – The Pickens County Humane Society needs help from the citizens of Pickens County. They are asking citizens to help with their need to replace the doors on their animal kennels.

The Humane Society wants to make the facility a nicer place and help contain the pets better.

The Humane Society has 16 kennel doors that need replacement. Each chain-link door is approximately $90, which is too great a cost for the society to pay by itself.

“This price is well more than we can afford on our own, so we are asking for support from the members of the communities,” said Director of the Pickens County Humane Society, Carolyn Wemett.

For more information, please call Carolyn Wemett at 843-9693 or visit 500 Five Forks Road in Liberty.
