Easley responds to fire in Crosswell District

EASLEY – The Easley Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 4809 Old Easley Bridge Road Wednesday at 6:09 p.m., according to a press release from the department.

Smoke was showing from the residence when the first unit arrived, the release says. The fire was extinguished and salvage and overhaul was performed.

A pumper truck and a tanker responded to the fire, according to the release. Blue Ridge Electric responded to turn the power off for the residence. The gas supply had been shut off prior to the fire.

The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.

There were no injuries as a result of the fire, the report says. The cause of the fire has been ruled accidental.
