Mr. Ramey was born in Pumpkintown, a son of the late Jesse Samson and Thessie Chapman Ramey. He retired from Ramey Logging Company and was a Baptist.
Surviving are his wife, Sarah Mae Mann Ramey, of the home; a daughter, Patricia “Trish” Morgan, of Easley; a brother, Earl Jackson Ramey, of Pickens; sisters, Azilee Blankenship, of Greenville and Ruby Ramey, of Six Mile; grandchildren, Cameron Reeves, Sheena Reeves and Dakota Reeves.
Funeral Services were conducted 2 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown with the Rev. Clyde Gravely officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
