This photo was provided by our good friend Kent Dykes, president of the Easley Chamber of Commerce. Of course, if you know Kent, you know he is active with the Boy Scouts of America too. He writes, “I got this 1954 photograph from Jack Brock who was the scoutmaster of Troop 26 sponsored by Easley Presbyterian Church. Among these young man are five doctors, two generals, and many owners and managers of Easley businesses. We never know what we will be when we grew up or who we associate with will be.” So true. We want to thank Kent and all those who work with our scouts. Pictured are, from left: (front) Sandy Hagood, Winder Davis, Jack Brock (scoutmaster), Jimmy Stewart, Walter Reddall, (second row) Ben Spearman, Terry Masters, Bill Hagood, Earle Russell, Charles Wyatt, Braxton Cutchin, (third row) Kenneth Campbell, Jimmy Jones, Boby Jeanes, David Norton, Charlie Hagood, Jerry Campbell, Ed Latham, (back row) John Armistead, Cappers Brazzell, Mike Welborn, Ottis Ballenger, Joe McAlister, Joe Tollison, and Stewart Bauknight.
